First we will visit the splendid Villa Arnaga, in Cambo-les-Bains, in the heart of the Basque country. The villa is situated in impressive gardens and was the home of the author and poet, Edmond Rostand, who was best known for Cyrano de Bergerac.
Next we move on to Espelette where we will discover the famous and colourful peppers from the region and its beautiful picturesque village. Then we will head towards Ainhoa, where we will have a relaxing lunch. Officially recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in France, it dates back to the 13th century and has kept its traditional style of houses with large porches (lorios). Finally we visit Itxassou nestled at the foot of the mountains where the black cherry trees grow, where they produce the most delicious jam - the perfect accompaniment to the basque brebis cheese.
